To The Haunted House ( Haunted house II)

Well this is a story about how I went to the scariest haunted house in the world and something terrible that happened. Even though it was meant to not really be haunted, some evil force has taken over!

“Yes!” I yelled, “We are finally going to McKamey Manor!”

I was so happy that we were going to McKamey Manor, the scariest haunted house in the world.

By the way, my name is Declan Thompson. I have two twin sisters, called Jackie and Katelyn. We have two hamsters called Ralphie and Gecko. I guess they named Gecko after me, since my nickname is Decko. Jackie is 10, Katelyn is 10 and I am 12.

Like you might have noticed, I’m a big fan of horror. I watch horror movies with my friends, every weekend! I’ve been to so many haunted houses, that they don’t seem to scare me at all. This time I was going on a trip to McKamey Manor!

Even though I love horror, Jackie and Katelyn don’t like it too much. In fact, Katelyn doesn’t like horror at all! Last time she watched a horror movie, she just hid behind a pillow. Once, she even started crying! Jackie is a fair bit into horror. She loves horror movies and stories, but she doesn’t like haunted houses. I guess some people like watching and reading stuff, but they don’t like reality.

My parents booked us in early, so we could visit sooner. Since the queue these days is up to 24,000, you have to book early! Otherwise it could take days, even weeks before you can visit. The average tour is supposed to last 2 hours, but most people chicken out after about 20 minutes. In fact, no one has ever completed the full tour, but I’m up for the challenge!

After dinner, I called my best friend, Tim. His full name is Timothy Baker. “Hi Tim!” I exclaimed joyously, “I have some very good news!”
“What is it Decko?” he asked.
“I’m going to McKamey Manor!” I yelled, jumping up and down.
“Whoa!” Tim replied in surprise, “Isn’t that place too scary?”
“Not for me!” I shouted.
“Well see you, then!” he exclaimed, “Have a nice trip!”

That night, I didn’t get to sleep quickly. I was way too excited about the trip. But I didn’t know what I was in for…

McKamey Manor

McKamey Manor is the scariest haunted house in the world. It has a queue of about 24,000 people. The tour takes 2 hours to complete, but people leave the house after about 20 minutes, The owner (Russ McKamey) was so shocked to have so many visitors. Some people book plane tickets just to go there! He said the house was built so people could have fun. McKamey Manor is described as a real life horror movie. Visitors flock from all over the world, just to have the experience. Children under 18 aren’t allowed to go, without parental supervision.

Chapter 2

In the morning, I was up so early, that the sun wasn’t even close to coming up! After a while, Tim called me and said that he was going to McKamey Manor too!

When my family woke up, we had breakfast and it was time to go. Tim was all set. My family had booked a hotel to stay in, while Tim and I visited McKamey Manor.

Since we live in Manhattan, it wasn’t too long of a drive. By the time we were at the entrance, my heart was beating as loud as a base drum! “This is it!” Tim exclaimed, with a massive grin on his face.
“I hope this will be good,” I replied.
“Of course it will,” he replied, staring through the entrance.

We dashed through the entrance to find out what was next. The tour guide popped out from a room and came to greet us.
“Hello boys!” she exclaimed waving, “My name is Rachael Weaving and I’ll be your tour guide!”

She told us a couple of ghost stories about Alcatraz and haunted houses. Well we loved them. But the tour guide said that now we have to go in, so this is the fun part!

Chapter 2

To start off, it was just a tangle of wake weeds. As we walked through the heavily weeded area an actor popped out of the tangled shrubs. Whoa! This house was kind of creepy, I had to admit.

10 minutes later…

There were buckets of fake blood everywhere; we even had some on ourselves. I could hear the hiss of the pythons in the other room and I knew something was going to pop out of nowhere at any minute. Suddenly, an actor had caught us both in a bag and before we knew it, we were in one large box!

“What do we do n-now?” I stammered, shivering from the freezing temperature.
“I don’t know,” Tim whispered, “Maybe we should try breaking free.”
“Yeah,” I agreed, trying to find something that would help.

Just then, something hissed and I struggled to breathe. I started choking and gagging, so did Tim.
“Help us!” we shouted as loud as we could, “Help!”
“I don’t think it’s working!” he exclaimed, “We need to break free right now!”

This house is supposed to scare people, but this is ridiculous. I mean, why would someone want to choke you here, shouldn’t this be illegal? Just then the lid popped off. Tim and I, let out a huge sigh of relief. I guess they want to scare us to the max. Just then, I saw something moving around. A flashy figure. I saw it again; I could barely make it out through the darkness.
“Tim,” I replied shaking, “Did you see that weird figure?”
“I didn’t see it clearly,” Tim replied, “But I’m pretty confident that it wasn’t an actor.

Just then, something popped out of nowhere and landed right on us! Only this time, it wasn’t an actor! “Aaaaaaaaaargh!” we screamed, as something appeared from the darkness.

Chapter 3

Turns out it was just a paper towel. How did it get there? I looked around, but I didn’t see Tim anywhere.
“Tim!” I called, “Tim!”
“Tim!” I desperately called, “Where are you?”

It was no use. I had lost him and I was on my own. I had to find Tim and now! Where would I first look?

I searched around the room, in hopes that I would find some clue. I didn’t find any fingerprints or anything that had been dropped. I searched for about half an hour then I just about gave up when I heard a noise coming from the attic. Yes, I heard a voice and it sounded like Tim’s! “Tim,” I shouted, “Are you up there?”
“Mmmmm!” the voice called, “Mmmhmm!”
“I’m coming to get you!” I yelled, “Stay there!”

Turns out that Tim was trapped inside a cupboard in the attic. Wonder who put him there. Well this is a quite mysterious. Still, in a haunted house, they wouldn’t do these kinds of things. Suddenly, the same strange figure dashed past us. It kept darting back and forth through the dark, narrow passages. “Some kind of strange guy took me and wrapped me up!” he exclaimed,” Then he put me in that cupboard in the dusty attic!”
“Well we better find the exit and leave!” I replied, eager to go.
“Yeah,” he replied, “I’d be happy to go. This is enough fun for today.”
“Wait,” I replied in fear, “Where’s the exit?”
“Uh-oh!” Tim uttered, with fear.

We were trapped inside this creepy house. In some passageways it was pitch black. We searched the rooms for an exit and then we found a narrow, spiral staircase leading down. We decided to go down it, since it was our only choice. As we trudged down the stairs, the staircase got steeper and narrower. Suddenly, an icy, cold hand reached out of a hole and pulled us into some weird, small room.

Chapter 4

“Aaaaargh!” we screamed, as we were dragged into the room.
“Somebody help us!” I shouted helplessly.

This was definitely not like a haunted house, this was just plain terrifying! Suddenly, a face appeared in the wall. We just stood there watching, completely petrified. The face started to grow larger, as it was getting brighter.
“I am the poltergeist of this house!” a deep voice boomed, “I have taken over this house and no one shall escape!”
“W-Who are y-you?” Tim stammered, as I hid behind him.
“I am the great poltergeist Vipor!” he boomed.
“Let us go please,” I replied, trembling with fear.

He started to change his form. From a normal looking poltergeist to a flaming ghost. I was truly terrified now; he was completely covered in flames!
“I will destroy you forever!” he hissed nastily, “No one is leaving!”

He set the curtains ablaze with his flaming fury. He blocked the window with flames so that we couldn’t escape. He started to charge his hands, ready to blast fire. He released the fire and he missed. He tried to hit us with his fire but he missed. Now almost all the room was set ablaze. Just then, Russ McKamey bolted through the door and used a fire extinguisher to take away all the flames.
“You aren’t winning this time Vipor!” he shouted, as he sprayed all over Vipor.
“Yay!” we exclaimed joyously, “We are saved!”

Vipor was nothing but a pile of dust. “Russ, we owe you one!” we thanked him, joyously.
“It was nothing,” he replied, “Vipor attempts to take over this house all the time. He’s just one of those evil poltergeists.”
“Well we got to go now,” I replied waving, “See you!”

“Bye!” Russ exclaimed, as he walked away.

Chapter 5

“So Russ just left us in this house,” I replied.
“I guess we have to figure a way out of this house,” Tim whispered, sighing in pain.

We carefully looked around the passageways if there was a staircase to go down, but we didn’t find one. We came across a weird looking statue, it looked like a werewolf. It was probably part of this house. ”Declan,” an unfriendly voice rasped, “Come to me, Declan!”
“Huh?” I uttered I startled cry, “Tim. Was that you rasping?”
“Hehehehee!” the voice continued to rasp.
“Tim?” I called, “Tim where are you?”

This house was definitely creepy. Where was Tim and why the actors would take him like that. I had to find an answer to what was going on here now, but first I had to find Tim and get out of this house! If only there was a staircase.

I started to look around the passageways in hope for clues, but I found nothing. I sighed, this was useless. I would never get out of this mess by the looks of this. “You will be gone Declan!” the same evil voice rasped, “Hehehehehehee!”
“W-who are y-you?” I stammered, shaking endlessly.
“I am the poltergeist,” it rasped.

That voice kept on giving me shivers. Every time the voice talked, my spine would tingle in fear. “W-where is T-Tim?” I stammered, tucked in a corner of the room.
“He is with me!” the poltergeist rasped, “You will never get him now!”

Where was Russ, I needed him now! Surprisingly, a ball off fire came out of nowhere and hit the wall. I could hear the scratching of sharp claws, waiting to get hold of me. There was nothing I could do at this point. I was defenceless; I was going to be gone forever!

Chapter 6

It was Vipor; I couldn’t believe he was still alive after what Russ did to him! This was it, he was right in front of me now and I had nothing to use to attack him! An idea popped into my head, I could use the air compressor to defuse him. If only I could reach my hand to that switch. Uurrgh, I reached as far as I could. Yes, a stick! I grabbed the stick and flicked it. The air compressor puffed out some dust then it blew Vipor’s flames and he was gone. This time I hoped he was gone for good. “Noooooooooo!” Vipor cried helplessly as he disappeared, “I will vow my revenge!”

As I looked behind myself, I saw Tim standing right there. “Tim!” I called joyfully, “It’s so good to see you!”
“I didn’t know where I was,” Tim replied, “I was in a world of fire!”
“That must’ve been Vipor’s world,” I replied, “He must have other poltergeists living there.”
“Let’s find a way out now!” Tim exclaimed, yawning.
“You’re right,” I yawned, “Must be morning by now.”

Suddenly, a passageway opened up. I could see daylight coming through the tunnel. We followed the tunnel and my parents were waiting for us. “It’s so good to see you Declan!” my mother exclaimed, as she hugged me tightly.
“It’s so good to see you too mum!” I exclaimed.
“Well Tim’s parents will probably be waiting for him,” she replied, “So we better get going.”

We all hopped into the car and started driving along the highway. As we drove along the highway I heard a strange voice. “Hello Declan!” the voice rasped, “It’s good to see you!”
“Did anyone here that?” I asked, with a worried look on my face.
